Our generation now is so liberal and vulgar. Doing public display of affection is really common right now. Boys became Andrew Bonifacio and girls became Mary Clare. We “Americanized” everything even our state of minds. Today, if you see a couple walking in the street and flirting it’s normal. But when you see that at the old times, it would be scandalous. It would even cause the reputation of the girl.

In our generation, courtship isn’t a necessary thing. If you like each other mutually and you get along well, you already date. Comparing this to the previous generations, courtship is the most essential thing. You need to court the girl and her family. If boys would not do this, he will not be allowed to marry the girl. But right now, you can marry even if you won’t court the family. The girl just needs to say she loves you and will marry you.

In the previous generations, purity and modesty are important elements to be called a good woman. A woman needs to be a virgin to be worthy of marrying a guy. A woman needs to be conservative enough and lessen the skin exposure when wearing clothes. A woman should be clean and conservative enough to be called a woman. Today, pre-marital sex happens and often too. A woman just needs to have an anatomy of a woman to be called a woman. As the generations get younger, the more vulgar we become. Previous generations won’t approve of miniskirts and short shorts but now we even have micro skirts and panty shorts. Today, we can say the lust is more powerful than love. But then, this is us. This is the modernization of our thinking. This is the state of mind of our generation.
